Capture Clip System V1

Image
This is an outdate review since there is a new Version 2 of Capture Camera Clip System.  Still, I'd like to express my satisfaction of the product by posting this review.  I'll create another review for the new version once I used it extensively. Unboxing Peak Design's Capture Camera Clip System The first time I saw it I knew I have to get one, or two (depending on how many camera bodies I'll be using simultaneously). I like the idea that it clips and when it clips it stays in place.  I wasn't a fan of the camera strap.  I bought several camera bodies already and I did not use the camera strap (except for my first camera body, Nikon D80).  I ended up with two (2) Capture Systems and I like them. Peak Design Box for V1 Capture Capture Camera Clip System Packaging and Hands On Impressions It comes in a small package enough to fit the whole assembly.  It comes with a pouch, the Capture clip mount and the Capture quick release plate.   This item feels solid.  I don'

Floriade 2014, AU

Iconic Floriade at Canberra Spring is not complete without Floriade.  Either you go or not, Floriade is coming and will entertain all visitors one way or another.   Floriade is a national event here in Australia.  It's being held at Commonwealth Park in Canberra.  If you're at NSW, this is manageable (especially if you live in ACT).  But for other states, probably an alternative is a good idea. Like the previous years, Floriade 2014 posts many flowers that are beautifully arranged to give more impact.  The shops are open and packed.  The flowers are blooming waiting for your camera to photograph them.  Enjoy a few hours of walking and getting lost inside Floriade 2014. Floriade Beauty Floriade 2014 The layout of Floriade 2014 is the 'same' as the previous Floriade events.  'Same', meaning it's at the same place (Commonwealth Park), same entrance location, same area arrangement, same Ferris Wheel, same general feel.  Though everything looks similar, the ambia

Tulip Top Gardens, AU

A good friend of ours came to Australia to accompany her sister who's going to give birth soon.  Her sister is located at Brisbane.  We're located at Sydney.  In a very good timing, we managed to ask her to come to Sydney and have a 5 day get together.  We haven't seen her for 3 years and it's good to connect again. Wanting to maximise time, I quickly drafted a 2 day trip to Canberra.  It's currently spring so gardens are very popular this time around.  Floriade is a must.  This is a very popular event in Canberra during spring.  My wife mentioned Tulip Top Gardens.  Like Floriade, it's a garden with beautifully arranged flowers.  Since I haven't been to this garden before, I wanted to go and explore. Flower Power Map Location Tulip Top Garden's website has a section for 'Where Are We Located / Contact Us'.  Refer to this page to get information and direction.  Visitors from Canberra and Sydney will all drive at Federal Highway. If you're com

Cornwallis Long Jetty, NZ

Sun Reflection Touching the Jetty Although Auckland is where our airport is, we scheduled this in the last league of our travel at the North Island of New Zealand.  To save time, we immediately went to the nearest i-Site.  From all the suggested locations of the local tourist guide, Cornwallis Long Jetty is what stood out. Cornwallis Long Jetty is located at the west part of Auckland, at the south of what looks like a peninsula.  We planned a sunrise shoot so we decided to stay at Avondale Motor Park.  This is just 30 minutes away from the jetty.  I also suggest staying at Avondale as they have a clean and orderly holiday park.  Reception is very friendly as well. Corwallis Long Jetty may not be for the tourist or the traveller who wants to explore those popular places.  This location is more popular for photographers specifically doing landscapes, seascapes or fine art.  Have a look at my photos to see what I mean.
