Cape Reinga, NZ

Image
Sitting Behind Cape Reinga Cape Reinga was one of the most recommended places to go if you want to travel at the North Island of New Zealand.  Try to search it over the internet and it's always in the top list.  A friend of ours also recommended us to go here and he's very persuasive.  He has lived in North Island for quite sometime and this is one of the places that he never forgets.  After being in this place, I understand.  Since Cape Reinga is nearly the north tip of New Zealand, it’s good to see what’s actually in the horizon – or the lack of it.  This place is amazingly beautiful with many places, in it's vicinity, to go into and many vantage points to play around.  Map Location The distance from Auckland to Cape Reinga is an astonishing 5 hour and 20 minutes drive (from Google Maps doing 100kph without breaks).  So we decided to break this trip into 2, stopping at Bay of Islands along the way.  Bay of Islands is another beaut...

The Photog Gamer

Logitech G700 Mouse I play games.  I have several games I play whenever I get bored with Photography.  I love Role Playing Games (RPG) and First Person Shooting (FPS).  I have the following in my closet: Diablo 2 / 3 Battlefield 2 / 3 Medal of Honour Dragon Age 1 / 2 Some of these games are old, but I just love playing them.  I buy whenever a sequel goes out of the market.  Since they are established games, they must be good.  It's the same reason why I buy a powerful PC.  It should handle my photo library (Lightroom), post processing (Photoshop) and games smoothly.  I bought 2 items to enhance my gaming: Keyboard (Logitech G19) Mouse (Logitech G700) These peripherals are very good at keeping all the needed buttons together.  They are also very good at adding a bunch of buttons together for easy access and use (rather than hovering your hand from one end of the keyboard to another). Opal Hot Springs Holiday Park

Opal Hot Springs Holiday Park Opal Hot Springs Holiday Park is located at Okauia.  My friends and I decided to stay in this accommodation due to it's good review in Campermate app.  We also travelled from Cape Reinga, which is a gruesome 7 hours drive to Okauia (without rest), and we're dying to stay somewhere for the night. Aside from good reviews, Opal Hot Springs Holiday Park is close to Matamata.  This is where the famed Hobbit Tour (Lord of the Rings) is held.   Wide Area at Opal Hot Springs Standard Rooms at Opal Map Location Below is the map of Opal Hot Springs Holiday Park.  I've also include additional information to find it quickly over the net: View New Zealand North Island Trip 2014 in a larger map Address:  257 Okauia Springs Road, Okauia, 3471, New Zealand Contact:   +64 7-888 8198 Website:   opalhotsprings.co.nz Opal Hot Springs Holiday Park The lady at the counter is lovely.  She's also the same person that answered the ...

Campervan: Jucy Condo

Image
Jucy Condo Campervan at Oakura Beach Holiday Park This is a review of Jucy's Campervan Condo. Travelling can be quite expensive.  Renting a car and booking for an accommodation can easily cost so much depending on the number of days you stayed.  My friend had an idea to try a campervan and just have a powered campsite for accommodation.   A campervan is a van modified to be an accommodation.  Its a 12 seater van (commonly a Toyota) and is modified to have a kitchen, sink, portable toilet and bed.  Our campervan can accommodate up to 4 people.  There's so much going on isn't it?  This is what we did in New Zealand.  We hired a campervan for 10 days and  only needed to a good or the best!) accommodation.  The accommodation we sought are holiday parks.  These holiday parks have different modes of accommodations from powered camp sites, standard (rooms) and a stand alone (studio-type) room.  Since the campervan already a mini ...
