Botanical Gardens, Mount Tomah

Surrounded by Beauty Fall is upon us in Australia.  At Sydney region, many are attracted to the seasonal beauty of Mount Wilson.  In fact, this past week, there was an influx of Mount Wilson photos in the group.  The photos are beautiful.  The colours of autumn never seizes to amaze anyone. But Mount Wilson's location is a bit secluded.  It's at the northern part of the mountains.  It's at the Blue Mountains, it's far from the city and away from populous residential areas.  In our area, Mount Wilson is 2 hours drive one way! Since it's far, it's best to maximise the trip.  A few friends got witty and add Bilpin's Apple Picking in the agenda.  I like fruit picking.  But I'm not a fan of apple.  If it's orange or cherry, I might go.  Actually, there is another attraction closer to Mount Wilson that is FREE to visit. Did anyone went to Blue Mountains Botanical Gardens at Mount Tomah ? The Blue Mountains Botanic Garden Visitor Centre MAP LOCATION Blue Mo

Gary & Lilian Corke Wedding

Image
Gary Corke, Lilian, Corke, Vicki Lever A videographer friend of mine, Jerry Naces invited me to film Gary and Lilian Corke's wedding last 12 April 2015.  Actually, it's a Renewal of Vows, they got wed 30 years ago.  It's the first time I went to this kind of event and it's interesting.   Sergs Bacalso was the main photographer.  I also know him as we are a member of the photography group. Invitation Wedding Details There are a couple of interesting personalities at the wedding.  Below are the details of the main players of this wedding (from my perspective): Couple:  Gary & Lilian Corke Photographer: Sergs Bacalso Main Videographer: Jerry Naces  ( http://www.jerrymnaces.com/ ) Celebrant: Vicki Lever ( http://www.vickilever.com.au ) Venue: Tudor Lodge ( http://www.tudorlodge.com.au/ ) It's the first time I worked (and saw Jerry Naces).  It's a breeze working with him.  We made several arrangements before the wedding so that we're at equal agreement.  Serg

Ajay & Iesha Sneak Peek

Ajay and Iesha Picnic A few months back, I made a bold move of going to cinematography.  I don't know, I just made that decision.  I browsed the internet relentlessly to educate myself towards cinematography.  I read articles and watch videos online regarding gear and composition.  I'm particularly interested on those photographers that made the move from stills to motion. But in the end, you just have to do it.   I heard that one of my friend's daughter is getting wed.  The wedding will be on October 2015.  So I courageously grabbed this opportunity to capture a video of their wedding (oh dear...).  I also organised a pre-nuptial video shoot.  Since fall is coming, I organised it to be mid-April at Mount Wilson, NSW. The Couple Meet Ajay Cruz and Iesha Sanchez.  This amazing couple trusted me to deliver videos for them.  I wanted to do the pre nuptial video shoot.  This way, I'll know the couple and work with them before I actually do a wedding video for them.  It'

Charisse & Jared BTS

Jared and Charisse Pre Nuptial A photographer friend of mine, Rey Tuazon ( http://reytuazon.com.au/) , invited me on his pre-nuptial shoot.  The couple were Charisse & Jared who’s going to get wed this May 08, 2015.  I was allowed to take either photos and/or video. But since I’m currently interested in video, I took more videos than photos. I still took photos though, as I need these to add to this blog post.   This is the start of autumn.  Thus the colours are not as vibrant as it will be on peak periods.  But in some parts of Mount Wilson, the colours are already vibrant.  It's a matter of finding where these spots are.  Definitely, there are fallen leaves at the side of the road. The Patterns of Autumn The Location The pre-nuptial shoot was held at Mount Wilson, particularly at Bebeah Gardens.  Bebeah Gardens is an old (started at 1880) but large garden (5 hectares).  Barry Byrne is currently taking care of it.  Below is a map to show where Mount Wilson is.  It's at the
