Wedding Cake Rock, NSW

Image
Wedding Cake Rock One of the most famous places in Sydney is the Wedding Cake Rock .  As the name states, it's a rock formation (limestone) that resembles a slice of wedding cake.  If you view it at a certain angle, it really is a wedding cake!  You just can't imagine how it formed this way. We initially planned this as Bundeena to Marley Beach walk.  But since we lack the time and under scorching heat, we decided to go back after seeing Wedding Cake Rock.  From the parking of Beachcromber avenue to Wedding Cake rock will take you 1.5 hours.  If you go further towards Marley beach, that will stretch to 3 hours return walk. Map Location Wedding Cake Rock can be accessed by initially driving towards Bundeena.  You need to enter the Royal National Park, which is south of Sydney.   (you may need to navigate the map above to find Bundeena & Wedding Cake Rock) It will take you a few minutes driving towards Bundeena upon entering Royal National Park....

Walls Lookout, Bilpin

Living on the Edge of the World (Spoiler: Drone Video at the End) Blue Mountains is one of the iconic landmarks in Sydney that residents and tourist would like to visit.  This area is so vast that you need to plan and ensure the location you're visiting.  Its a vast mountain range, valleys, cliffs, reserve, forestation, rivers, streams & waterfalls that if you don't know where you're going, you will end up lost - and in the news! Although you need to bush walk for hours to arrive at the most amazing locations, there are a few places at the Blue Mountains that don't require you to be an explorer.  Echo Point is a famous example.  Just recently, I went to Walls Lookout at Bilpin. This is a very easy return walk.  But the sight is magnificent! Attractions, Points of Interest and Views Walls lookout has the following points of interest: Megalong Valley The Opposite Wall The Wall your standing on (via Drone) When you're standing at the edge of the cliff, you'll s...

Haruru Falls NZ

Haruru Waterfalls NZ One of the easiest waterfalls to get to at North Island New Zealand is Haruru Waterfalls.  It's just 5-10 minutes away from the parking.  Actually, we're just driving on this road when we saw a signage going to Haruru Waterfalls.  We followed it.  Since we already hear the loud gushing of waters, we decided to stopover and continue towards the falls. Preparation Since the waterfall and the parking are very close, you can bring whatever you need.  It's an easy walk without too many upstream.  Since we went there during a drizzle, the perimeter of the waterfalls (made of rocks) is slippery. Slippery When Wet at Haruru Falls Map Location The address for Haruru falls and the map is below:  (you might need to have a closer look and search the map for 'Haruru Falls') 80 Haruru Falls Rd, Waitangi 0204, New Zealand Haruru Falls, Waitangi River Haruru Waterfalls parking is just off the road of Haruru Falls Road.  The parking is wi...

Amanda Beauty Shoot

Image
Amanda Rahme I haven't been shooting Beauty photography for years now.  The last time I shot Beauty was a disaster.  I don't know anything about portraiture and I don't know about lighting.  I don't know how to make my portraits pop out or stand out.  I don't know anything about modifiers and position them to get that soft beautiful light. As time passes by, I decided to put time into studying portraiture and lighting.  This happened less than a year ago.  Interesting, I managed to grasp some basic concepts, not only of lighting, but also confidence, direction and posing.  There's more to it than just taking a person's portrait and lighting it. Beauty Shoot If you ask me, 'Beauty' in terms of photography is taking a photo from shoulder up.  The subject will always be the face, parts of the face and the make up.  The face is commercially rich, meaning many companies are into this industry to make money.  To name a few are Revlon...
